Drone captures devastation of Italy’s earthquake
A powerful 6.6-magnitude earthquake rocked central Italy on Sunday morning, injuring at least 20 people, in the strongest tremor to hit the country in more than three decades.
Drone footage over the town of Amatrice, released by Italy’s fire and rescue corps shows the devastating aftermath of the earthquake.
Aftershocks continued throughout the day, and the geological institute registered about 200 in the first 10 hours after the morning quake, at least 15 of them with a magnitude measuring over 4.
The town of about 1,000 people was also battered by Italy’s Aug. 24 earthquake and a series of aftershocks last week.
